A rare and early Sunbeam gentleman's bicycle with 2 speed epicyclic bottom bracket gear. The Frame number is 67935 and checking against other known dated Sunbeams; puts it around 1904/05 date. The bicycle has been hanging in a garage for probably the last 50 years. The paintwork is the original enamel from the Wolverhampton factory and some of the Royal red box lining is still evident. Single speed rear hub with the famous 2 speed epicyclic gear within the bottom bracket. The wheels are 28" x 1.1/2" westwood pattern and are beaded edge. The bicycle still has the lamps is was found with: a rear Lucas Colonel lamps and a Lucas Petrolium Silver King oil lamp which has original Khaki green paint indicating it was probably a military issue lamp ( the numbers stamped on the top of the parallelogram bracket also indicate is was of military issue. The bell is a Lucas Spring dome cast bell and a rare piece. The flat handlebars are a nice shape with lovely fittings that hold the brake levers. Steering lock and 2 speed change lever. 

The bicycle is 125 years old and still as found with dust and cobwebs and will require careful cleaning and preservation. Frame size is 25" inch and the bicycle is a good opportunity for someone to acquire an early bicycle.
