A good project for someone looking for a proper vintage 1920's Tour De France style racing bicycle. Very unusual frame with a curved headstock tube behind the front fork steerer. Original old black enamel with remains of the original gold pin stripe lining on the frame a forks. The wooden rims are dry, but with care, I think they could be preserved and rebuild. The rear hub is stamped Alcyon, so It could be built by them, but other suggestions have been De Dion Bouton? The head badge has long gone, but there is a faint transfer on the saddle tube which is currently unreadable. The handlebars are very impressive, being very short and upright, but with a lovely deep drop to the tubes.

The frame is 22" inch. (56cm) at the saddle tube from C to top. The pedals appear to be matching and rotate well, but the dust caps are odd. Ripe for restoration for someone looking for an interesting sports/ racing bicycle from this evocative era.

Perfect for retro cycling events, like; L'Eroica and Anjou Velo Vintage etc.
